Six-shot conversion cylinders provide black
powder enthusiasts an economical way to switch from
percussion to centerfire in steel-framed, Ruger Old
Army or 1858 Remington reproductions. Heat-treated,
4140 steel cylinder slides into place easily. Slight
gap between cylinder and breech plate provides
clear, visual inspection while loading;
straight-line bore ensures chambers are properly
aligned straight with the barrel. Ruger Old Army
features a full, 6-shot cylinder chambered for
.45 Long Colt and .45 Schofield rounds; available in
blue finish. 1858 Remington is a polished
blue, Safety Cylinder™ that provides five, “live
round” chambers, plus a sixth, unloadable, “hammer
down” chamber. Indexes and locks up on all six
chambers to meet S.A.S.S. requirements for a 6-shot
revolver. For .45 Long Colt/.45 Schofield. Fits
current production Pietta and Uberti 1858 Remington,
